News on The Gathering – An Opportunity

See below.  This is an opportunity – Scroll down to list of meetings

Through contacts any of us may have can we ask for people to attend these meetings to make a point?

Point to be made:

The request made at the meeting can be: “Can I suggest that an effort is made to identify and clean up the graves of Victims of the Great Hunger (Famine). Many graves around Ireland are unmarked mass graves and some may be individual. Can we get this done in preparation for the return home of the descendants of the Victims.”

Of course, people can make this point in their own words but this is a great opportunity to get the word out for a very worthy effort to honor our ancestors.  Please contact friends in the towns listed below – there will be others as plans are to have meetings all over Ireland.

The article below has been distributed online and by e mail. More information and up to date news can be found at: http://www.gatheringireland.com
