Lincoln Park, NJ – l8 Foot Celtic Cross Dedicated to Great Hunger Victims

From Marie Smith

On May 7 in Lincoln Park, New Jersey an l8 foot Celtic Cross will be dedicated to the victims of the Great Hunger by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Hudson County.  There will be a Mass at St. Aloysius Church Jersey City  and then a procession to the monument for dedication and blessing.  A reception will follow.  The people raised over $40,000 for this monument.

  1. Does anyone have a website or contact information for this memorial? I am currently conducting research on monuments and museums to the Irish Famine and would love to investigate one of the newest monuments.

    Thanks
    Ann
